A Birmingham-based administrator is still
looking for a buyer for Corby based business
Codan Rubber.

The firm, which makes automotive hoses and belts
entered administration to stave off bankruptcy
two weeks ago, they are now being managed by
the accounting group Baker Tilley.

The company had to make 15 redundancies after
Codan's parent company in italy collapsed.

Crime-fighting partners across Corby say
that theres still work to do despite
a significant drop in anti-social behaviour.

The Corby Community Safety Partnership includes
the Council, police health services and youth
offending teams.

They say that anti-social behaviour has gone down 30 per cent
in since March 2008, which they
attribute to the Weeks of Action scheme and
increased CCTV operation - more than 250
arrests were put down to the use of cameras.

However Corby remains a hotspot for incidents of crime related

to alcohol consumption.
