Thoroughsale Wood Deep Clean. (All Day)
A deep clean operation is taking place at Thoroughsale and Hazel woods and it is part of a £1.25 million plan to restore Corby green heart. It is being organized by the Friends of Hazel and Thoroughsale woods, and Corby Council. If you would like to be involved contact Corby council at 01536 464687

If you've got any furniture that's still in good condition but you need to shift it because you've just decorated and you've bought new things.They collect unneeded electrical items, cookers, washing machines, fridges, tumble driers, ect. Villagers from Gretton meet on Thursday s at the East Carlton cricket club at 10.30am.
They are part of the East Carlton Breakaways group, who hold monthly coffee mornings in aid of Acacia Partnership and the Pen Green centre Corby.

Ultimate Frisbee (4:00 pm - 6:00 pm)
Are you eleven to sixteen years old and would like to get active and have fun over the holidays? If so, you can attend ultimate Frisbee sessions at West Glebe Park every Thursday from the 29th of July until the 26th of August. The sessions start at 4pm and end at 6pm and it costs £2.50 per session.

Gretton Silver Band (6:45 pm - 9:45 pm)
The Gretton silver band is a friendly non-contesting village brass band, they are looking for committed players of any standard, on any instruments, particulary cornets. They also offer training to anybody who is interested in joining their brass band, and would like to learn an instrument. They are no cost involved, and instruments and uniforms can be provided by the band. They meet at the pratice room Gretton recreation ground.

Air Cadets (7:00 pm - 9:30 pm)
The Air Cadet Organisation is open to young people aged between 13 and 17 and offers a vast range of activities at hugely subsidised rates.
Thousands of pounds worth of free flying, gliding, flight simulation and target shooting are offered absolutely free of charge along with the opportunity to participate in the prestigious Duke of Edinburgh´s Award Scheme. A number of vocational qualifications are also available including Btec Diplomas in Public Service, Music and Aviation Studies, each of which is worth 4 GCSEs.
Young people are also invited to attend week-long UK and Overseas training camps at massively subsidised rates and can participate in regular adventurous training such as hill-walking, night exercises and survival weekends.
Uniform is provided absolutely free of charge.
The Corby Air Cadets are based at the TA Centre on St. Mark´s Road on the St. James´ Industrial Estate in Corby and meet on Monday and Thursday evenings between 7pm and 9.30pm. The Air Cadets are currently recruiting and young people may join by attending on a Monday or Thursday evening or by contacting Flying Officer Rob McKellar by email on oc.422@aircadets.org or by telephone on 07810 176 147.
